Nature Paintings From Colorado Columbines to the great Tetons
I call the eastern plains of Colorado home – at first glance, an unlikely place to nurture an artist. The windswept terrain opens to panoramic views stretching from Kansas to the Rocky Mountains. The view is breathtaking in scope – mostly barren with scarce trees clustered in oases or lined in stiff rows as protection from blizzards. Yet, the high plains do nurture – steeping those who pay attention in variants of color and texture, shapes and sounds, and the responsibilities of living close to the earth.
